RealOrthos

The RealOrtho product line consists of fully rectified aerial imagery or also known as true orthophotos. RealOrtho's in contrast to regular orthophotos have most of their geometric features fully corrected from the relief displacement distortions. Due to the perspective geometry of the photography buildings and other features are tilted away from the center of the photography causing significant distortions and occluded regions.

So far the adaptability of fully rectified aerial imagery in GIS and online mapping systems was hindered by the expensive and long production cycles required for producing the reference City Models. Having identified the key issues, GeoMap Systems is using the automated in-house solution for 3D City Modelling in order to provide RealOrtho's of superior accuracy and quality at a fraction of the cost and time required by traditional mapping systems.
